West of England

The West of England, including the Isle of Wight, make up this list of attractive antique prints. The list is divided into 2 sections - the West Country and then the Isle of Wight. Many of the prints are of great historical interest and show features that no longer exist and were never photographed.

Sizes are all in millimetres.

Normally steel engravings - but pre-1820 will usually be copper and post-1860 will normally be wood or lithographic.

Devon. Sowton Church. An important print as it was drawn direct onto a lithographic stone on the spot and printed by the Hullmandel patent. Hullmandel is considered to be the first real commercial lithographer. The print has original hand colouring. Very rare.
