Wales - handsomely engraved pair of maps on one sheet. The lower map is a General Sketch of the Roman Stations and roads of Monmouthshire and South Wales. Shows the Roman names of towns, the Roads including Watling street marching through to Caernarvon, the roads extending to Bath and Cirencester. The upper map shows the course of the Via Julia from Bath to the Severn - an exceptionally detailed strip map with a small inset of Bagspath. Condition very fine, historically valuable. GB 1514 1731 Glamorganshire - elegant double-side strip map with old hand colouring.  One side has the road from Burton Ferry, Neath to Llanthiffa and the arms of Pembroke with detail on Swansea, Lloghor, Llanelthy and Kidwelly. The reverse is Haverford West to St. David's, with the arms of St. David's and detail on Narbarth, Llanlullan, Llaughern and St. David's.  Set in a double-sided mount so that it can be viewed both sides in a double-glazed frame.
