Wales - handsomely engraved pair of maps on one sheet. The lower
map is a General Sketch of the Roman Stations and roads of
Monmouthshire and South Wales. Shows the Roman names of towns,
the Roads including Watling street marching through to
Caernarvon, the roads extending to Bath and Cirencester. The
upper map shows the course of the Via Julia from Bath to the
Severn - an exceptionally detailed strip map with a small inset
of Bagspath. Condition very fine, historically valuable. |
