We commence with general maps of the British Isles or

Counties Maps of the huge London & Middlesex area, Ireland,

Virtually all of the maps listed here as produced up
to about 1865 are hand coloured engravings or hand coloured lithographs. From
1865 onwards they are mostly chromolithographs or lithographs with some
hand colouring.
The material is all genuine. Any significant
defects that we have observed are noted. Sizes are expressed in millimetres. Where the map is
mounted/matted [Mounted Coloured] the size shown is of the mount itself. If the map is
unmounted [Unmounted Coloured] the dimensions are of the sheet size.
